George Primm died from wounds on 31st March, 1915, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Essex battalion of 12 Brigade, 4th Division had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in the fighting on the Western Front since that date. During March, 1915 they had been holding the front near Ploegsteert, in Belgium spending around four days in the trenches and four days in billets in reserve. |
